An apartment that is run by professionals is better than the one run by an individual. Professional management will have everything clear in writing making it easier for you to pay your liabilities and get your rights.
Check out the apartment by visiting it. See to it that it is just like it is advertised. Also see if any additional rules regarding the number of people who can stay in the place, pets, electricity, water usage, etc.
