Fire is something that people are aware of but not many are prepare for it. The anticipation for a fire is so little. A small fire extinguisher won’t be sufficient to handle a house fire. Actually, it was not always fire that do damage to your belongings. Mostly it is the smoke and water that damage your furniture, carpets, toys and other belongings.
When a fire happened, a house may look not that damaged from the outside. But when you look inside, the things are totally ruin, either by smoke or water or by both. Some carpets are very sensitive to water. The water from fire trucks will sure damage the carpet, curtain and other stuffs that are water irresistible.
The smoke also left ugly color to your dresses and stuffs made of fabrics. It also left an uncomfortable smell. While some of the effects can be minimized by using certain chemicals, some are not. They will smell smoke.
When the bad effect can not be cleaned, there is no other way but to replace all of them. Now. it can be very costy when you are not prepared with aninsurance. Some insurance only cover belongings that are damaged by fire. With the explanation above, you have to make sure that the insurance also covers damages caused by smoke and water.
